Turmeric Latte/Golden milk
Ingredients
- 500 ml milk or vegan alternatives like almond, soy, cashew drink
- 2 tbsp turmeric
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp honey/coconut sugar
- 1-2 tbsp coconut flour for a more like pudding consistency (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the milk/vegan drink and mix it with honey/coconut sugar or even xylit/stevia if you want a low-carb version.
- Foam 1/4 of the amount of milk with a mixer. Mix the spices with the rest of the liquid.
- Add some foamed milk to a glass and then pour the golden mixture you got in the previous step.
- Add some foam on top, just like you would do for a latte macchiato.If you want to make it even more luscious, use some cream/coconut cream on top and you will transform your gold milk into an irresistible Starbucks-like drink.
- Optional: If you prefer a thicker consistency, simply mix all the ingredients with 1-2tablespoons of coconut flour and let it sit a few minutes
