Notes

The caloric value was calculated per serving.
In the Indian kitchen, it is used as a drink, especially when eating spicy curries.
In Ayurveda, it is not recommended to mix fruits and milk products, with ripe mango representing an exception. If using yogurt instead of buttermilk, add also the same amount of water to dilute the yogurt and make it easier to digest.
Recommendations for doshas:
Vata: cold drinks are not a good choice for Vata or during the cold, windy season. Room temperature is better to keep Vata‘s energy in balance, instead of aggravating it.
Add some cinnamon and ginger powder.
Pitta: this drink has a cooling effect. Mint and cardamon are also great for Pitta dosha.
Kapha: mango is a good choice for Kapha. Adding ginger will make it even better. As milk products increase Kapha energy, a vegan alternative can be a better option.
