Ingredients

  • 150 g fresh or frozen spinach
  • 150 g ripe pineapple
  • 50 g almonds
  • 10 g collagen powder (2 scoops)
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 250 ml water/coconut water

Instructions

  • You can start by soaking almonds overnight to activate the enzymes and increase the nutrient's availability.
  • Add all ingredients to a mixer (a high-speed mixer will give you the best results). Blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth consistency. Use frozen pineapple for a refreshing result, or blend in some ice cubes. Adapt the amount of water to get the desired consistency.
  • Frozen spinach (without cream or other extra ingredients) is also an option. Or use other green leaves available to you (kale, for example).

Recommendations for doshas
Row pineapple has a balancing effect on Vata and Pitta.
Vata: drink it at room temperature and add some fresh ginger.
Kapha: raw pineapple increases Kapha energy. An alternative is to use pineapple compote, which is more balancing for Kapha. Greens have a positive effect, which will balance the smoothie and make it overall beneficial for Kapha as well.
