Low Carb Chocolate Mousse

A creamy, protein-rich low carb chocolate mousse made with cottage cheese, cocoa or carob powder, and sunflower lecithin. Quick to prepare and perfect as a healthy dessert, snack, or breakfast.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g cottage cheese
  • 10-15 g cocoa powder or carob powder
  • 20 g xylitol
  • 20 g sunflower lecithin powder
  • Optional: 30 g unsweetened protein powder whey or vegan
  • Optional: milk or water if needed

Toppings

  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Pistachios
  • Coconut flakes

Instructions
 

  • Add the cottage cheese, cocoa or carob powder, sweetener, sunflower lecithin, and optional protein powder to a blender.
  • Blend for 1–2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  • If the mixture is too thick, add a small amount of milk or water and blend again.
  • Transfer to serving bowls and refrigerate until chilled.
  • Top with berries, pistachios, or coconut flakes before serving.

Notes

Recommendations for doshas:
Vata: It is a good dessert for vata. Use carob instead of cocoa, or half and half.
Pitta: It is s a suitable dessert for this dosha as well. Serve with berries, coconut
flakes, and fresh mint.
Kapha: Combined with a healthy low fat lunch with vegetables, protein, one
portion of this dessert will not impact kapha negatively.
